12 sec quarter mile??

Hey guys Dont know if this belongs here or not but just trying to find a few things out. Im going to have some money to buy a few things here shortly and wanted to know what would get me into the 12s. I just wnat to buy the right stuff instead of buying stuff i dont need or that wont help me out. Right now my mods are Injen intake with UICP and Turboxs catback with testpipe. (Yes i know most of you hate intakes and would say that i didnt need that but i got it for a really good price) Im going to purchase a turboxs downpipe i know for sure but what else can i do to get me there. THanks for the replys.

Matt

Get it reflashed, tuned, MBC, and how much more money you got? Cams would be a nice upgrade as well. Gauges if you dont have any. Just depends on money man...

Get that downpipe, a manual boost controller and flash. Youll be in mid 12s with a good launch! THe tune is VERY important to get especially since that intake you have without the tuning is hurting power.

With the help of 48 degree weather, I went 12.81@104.75 on just a Buschur air filter and SAFC2 with Buschurs map.

Fox body Mustang coupe, automatic, 5 L engine with Cobra heads, 4.11 rear end, slicks. easy way to get into 12's even if your shifting sucks..... Plus, no tear and wear on your expensive EVO

Just like everyone else said - TB exhaust no cats with an o2 housing, boost controller, flash, good launch. You should be able to hit a 12 no problem.

Here was my answer in PMs. You should ask me before posting. This is a newbie question that has been asked 1000 times:

Yeah, even $300 is ridiculous for an intake that hardly even helps, but since you have it, we'll work with that.

I got into the very low 12s with the mods listed in the package in my sig. That's what I think you should follow as far as finishing your mods to be ready for low 12s. Here's the list for low 12s that you need to get next:

- Downpipe (already getting this)
- Forge UNOS MBC (run 21-22psi on 93oct)
- Forge RS BOV (holds that 21-22psi without leaking)
- Fuel pump (to prepare for higher boost now and later)
- Dynoflash (absolutely must have the tune to run properly, especially with that intake)

Ok, then to knock on the door of 11s, you will need to add:
- GSC Cams (272s, probably)
- Buschur Lower Intercooler Pipe
- Custom Dynoflash

This will put you in the position to hit 11s IF YOU CAN DRIVE WELL. Most people don't actually accomplish it, but you will at least know you're capable of it. If you want to go even further and ensure easy 11s, add these:

- SMC alky injection (then run 26-28psi on pump gas)
- Buschur ported/coated stock manifold
- Buschur ported/coated 10.5 hotside
- Buschur coated tubular o2 housing
- Custom Dynoflash

At this point, you'll have 360-380whp no problem...

A test pipe and race gas should put you in the 12s.

A catless turbo back exhaust on pump should also put you in the 12s.

05's are quick right from the showroom floor.

Yes, a couple basic mods TB,MBC and decent driving and it won't be a problem

Fuel pump. I know a couple of people have said it but it an important step that must be stressed with all the mods you plan on doing. You can cram all the air into the engine you want but if the fuel isn't there you'll be in big trouble.
Then it comes to the launch. If you cant launch an awd car you'll never get the times you want.
