With a Fit it Ticket for no front plate, you do not have to go to court. You have a cop sign the ticket after they've seen it put back on. Then you go to the court filing only, and pay the $15, you do not have to go in front of a judge.
At least the last two I've been given worked this way and in CA.

If the DMV/BMV gives you two plates, you're required to have both plates on the car....in OH the law is that the front plate has to be 'securely mounted and visible' in order for it to be legal. I've had friends get tickets for either not having one or even carrying one in the front windshield. Evos sold in OH have the front bracket already drilled into the bumper for the front plate.
However, I got my Evo in Illinois and my saleslady did NOT mountn the bracket onto the bumper. She told me in Illinois it would be ok to just throw the plate in the front windshield if I didn't want to drill the bumper for the bracket.
They've been trying to get rid of the front plate law here for years....but it's such a nice flat surce for police to bounce laser off of!
