Bad Experience Last Night!
i recall that happening to me one of the first months i got my evo, i learned after that never to check what gear im in while at a stop. because sometimes you might forget.
WOW 6,000 rpms to get vehicle in motion. That should have immediately hinted to being in the wrong gear. I would practice drivng stick prior to drivng an EVO. It can be too much car for a 1st time manual driver.

I am equally frustrated in the facts that I was highly reving a cold engine and also burning the clutch. The car drove home with no apparent affects, but I can't help but think I might have done a little damage to the engine and clutch.
