EVO Pricing - This board and Everywhere.
EVO Pricing - This board and Everywhere.
Ok. So I used to have an STI and then sold it because it worked out pretty well im my favor. Now I bought an older M3 to hold me over, but I'm thinking more and more about getting an Evo or another STI.
Pricing on STI is pretty straight forward, 22-25K for one in good shape or 20ish for one with high miles. 22-25K number is also including some mild mods.
I've been looking on this forum for a while at different Evos and I'm at a loss. I've seen 05 RS with substantial mods, big turbo included list for 25K and sell for even less, and 03 models with 40K list for right around 20-21K, some are even below. But then 04s are listed for mid to high 20s and I won't even talk about 05s - people want new car prices for them. I don't see much differance in 03 Evo and 05 RS as far as equipment, just some small things, yet they sell for the same price and with twice the milage, not too mention the 2 year newer car.
Can someone explain to me the pricing on these cars? Are people really getting 27-28K for 04 with 35K miles, or 24K for an 03 with 50-60K miles?

Ideally I'd like to be in the low 20s and that seems to be the best bang for the buck.

the 05's have a 10.5 hotside, we have ACD, and a front LSD. which in turn makes the 05's fast than the 03 and 04.
if you were going simple bolt-ons get an 05 or 06 to preservce warranty. but if you already had plans to upgrade turbo and go huge on hp get an 03 for the warranty is pretty much almost up and it'll be alot cheaper. you can get a 03 high teens low 20's

np... you do know that for $1300 you can make the car mildly modded (300whp:fp,tbe,mbc,flash,drop-in) and beat on it yourself.
