My S2000 pulled 1.062g on the skid pad. APR Evo with 295's all the way around pulled 1.072. The AMS car pulled 1.017..much less than my S2000. Skidpad=GRIP. Period.

I'm not saying the Evo sucks (again,I love it) it's just not going to hand the S2000 it's *** at every encounter.
I am not silkyboy though, and I am not pointing fingers, or saying the S2000 sucks.

I've owned a C230 Sport Coupe with mods that spanked C32s on VIRs full course. I have video where on the straight he destroys me, but into T1, with stock calipers vs. his OEM Brembos, I am on his bumper.

I've driven the W203 platform, both the C230 (street, auto-x, track) and C32 (auto-x), the e36 and e46 M3s and the 350Z (street, auto-x), I politely disagree about them handling better.

Your S2000 pulled 1.062 with what mods? stock?

My C230 was initially too stiff with KW V2s, H&R sways and custom upper control and trailing arms w/hiem joints. I had to adjust in order to not loose traction. Once dialed in, I picked on S2000 for giggles but couldn't touch an Evo. I ran that car in group 1 HPDEs, but not all the drivers in group 1 suck. There was one S2000 driver that was pathetic though. His wife was 2X faster then him.

I agree that arguing either car is better is foolish. I do think it'd be a hell of a good time to get a bunch of Evo's and S2000s to get on track and have some fun.

Thats funny and over half of those vehicles ended up in my rear view mirror. But I suppose in all those cases it was the driver huh? I alos beat a m5 is that driver error too? Or maybe I am just a good driver? Hmmm...... when will it ever end folks?

As a matter of fact, how long have you been doing this? I can probably find a time I was at the track and ran a faster time than you? Regardless if I'm in HPDE 4 or HPDE 3 at the time. So again, would that make my car faster? Me faster? Or both?

Your C230 would not "spank" my C32. I don't care if you put a rocket in it. I didn't say the cars "handled" better. I said the stock suspension is terrible in the Evo (springs and dampers). Worse than any other car I have owned. They make it seem stiff and harsh..good for the track right? Wrong. The srpings are really weak and the car comes with terminal understeer. Good for the masses and hacks at the track. The geometry and the AWD is EPIC. The suspension sucks. Change it out, attempt to get rid of the terminal understeer and the car is great. That is what I have been saying since the start of this...stock suspension on the Evo sucks. Yes...My S2000 is modded as hell, but so were the Evo's that were running against it. More so than mine.

I haven't run in HPDE 1 since...well...ever. No offense, (seriously) but you need a little more under your belt to give me a viable A/B comparison.

Bdiddy and the like, if you like the S2000 so much. You should post in their forum. Why waste our time? We really don't care about the glorified Miata.

You're an idot for thinking it's a glorified Miata, and if you think it's a waste of time shut the computer and you won't have to struggle with the big words.

Lemme state this again. I LOVE MY EVO, but you guys take it to a new level..you are so one sided because you spent money on the car and SOMEONE (usually me) feels a need to point that fact out. Awesome car..NOT THE GREATEST CAR EVER. Did I ever say the S2000 was a better car than the Evo? A better car? A BETTER CAR. Read again. Slowly.

Can't believe this is still going, but anyway...driver is ALL of the equation. Look at Takumi...he can beat an Evo with an E86!

haha this is great

Now lets all stop arguing and get along. Who really cares which car is better. The arguing will never end. You will always believe that the car you own is superior over any other. When I had a lude I thought it was better then any s2k or evo just because I owned it. It's sorry but true . Both the s2k and evo are great cars so who cares!

Its funny to see everyone saying the S2000 is sexier then the Evo. When I was shopping for a new car and saw that Honda was offering a lease on the S2K for like $280 a month for 24 months it got my attention (thats damn cheap!) ... I test drove it but coming from a 350Z was extreamly unhappy with it along with the fact I'm 6'2" and their is no leg room ... well N E way my point is that when I told my girlfriend, sister, sisters friends, and my girlfriend's friends that I was looking at a S2000 they where all like only one of them said they liked the S2000 better since its was convertable (a chick comment for sure)... NO BULLS HIT they told me they liked the Evo better. Now most you are going to call BS on this but its 100% true I would give you their phone #s so you could call them but I dont think they would be to happy about that.
