I'm 6 -4" and have always wanted to drive a two seater like that just to enjoy the top down feel. 6-2 seems more reasonable than I thought.

I think the S is made for people between 5"7 and 6"2~

I'm an S2000 owner who is looking to add an Evo to my garage. I am both embarassed and turned off by the fanboi-ism emanating from both ownership camps. I'm also exhausted by all the contrived attempts to compare and contrast the two vehicles.

Both are awsome, driver-centric vehicles with unusually high performace capabilities. And that's where the similarities and comparisons end.

Angry

I completely agree, they are two completely different cars. You either like them or you don't. This topic is just getting overplayed already.

Is the Evo community really that insecure that we'll let one person's opinion bother us so much? Let it die already and get back to talking about the Evo!

I am lacking the ability to understand how these two cars can be compared. My girl owns a RX-8, and though it is not the same as the S2K, I would not even think to compare it to the Evo. They are entirely different cars based on entirely different platforms. Like my girl's RX-8, the car is cool and fast in its own right. No need to compare it to the Evo because you simply can't.

The STi and SRT guys owe the S2K site for letting up the beating those guys take on a regular basis.

I stand by my love for Evo.

And honestly, it's not lies.

If you think 4g63 isn't good because you blew it up few times, because you don't know how to take care of it, you're under a wrong impression.

There are tons of Evo owners having no problem whatsoever with their engines.

s2k is not a "great great car". If s2k is a "great great car" then miata is "great great great great great great great great great great great great great car", since it practically wins over every category over s2k.

s2k has NO interior. What are you talking about? I've owned one, had it for 6 months, traded it in for an Evo. I can't stand that car.

Only thing good on that car is the shifter, it's crisp and amazingly short. But that's where everything ends.

Uh, so there is some kind of prideful affiliation you HAVE to have about the car you own, NO other car can be considered better in some way, and if someone ever gives "in" or whatever to s2k owners (or any other car) they are "dumb" and a "coward" ......

To me that looks like the attitude and feelings you would see in a movie like F&F but oh well...

I had an 01 S2k. It definitely had a better feel to it in the handling department. The shifter was clearly better.
The EVO is faster (especially modded), quiter (hard to believe), and more functional.
The S2k is a better sports car.
The EVO is a better performance car.

^^i agree with everything except steering feel. the steering rack on my '01 S was pretty numb, as magazine reviewers often noted. the evo provides more feedback thru the wheel.

That's true. There was some numbness compared to the EVO. I was refering more to the lower center of gravity.

you guys could all act like you don't think my way, but if you don't, you shouldn't drive an Evo in the first place or be on this forum. You should be over there at s2k forum, talking about how great their car is on your knees.

You guys need to have some pride in your car that's engineered to it's fullest abilities.

You guys shame me, to put a lil honda in front of a evo, which is clearly a better car.

With the same driver drving Evo and S2k, in both road track, auto-x and drag racing, Evo will out power, out handle and out corner S2k any day, any road condition, any form and shape, period.

It's ridiculous to think that s2k owners think they have the better cars, but honestly, I would rather have them as friends than some of you who pretends to be civil without any sorta pride in your rides.

At least they'll argue their points and fight it out to defend their rides and their posession.

What are you guys doing? Like a critic, sitting there pointing your fingers like an adolt.

I bet half of you don't even know how to drive your car.

damn, hippies. you guys probably oppose the war too or eating meat.
