When's the last time you saw a 600whp+ Evo driving around on the stock bottom end? S2000's come with forged internals from the factory, all they need is a thicker headgasket to lower the compression some.

Most s2k owners don't build their car's for drag racing, which is why you don't see many high horsepower ones.

Please don't try to stereotype me into your ignorance simply because we own the same type of car

Errmmm, I don't know about that. It would take one hell of a thick gasket to drop the compression low enough to be rolling with 600+. I am certain they have to build the bottom for that kind of power.

You obviously don't know what you're talking about. Please stop being an immature fanboy.

You guys need to have some pride in your car that's engineered to it's fullest abilities.

You guys shame me, to put a lil honda in front of a evo, which is clearly a better car.

It's ridiculous to think that s2k owners think they have the better cars, but honestly, I would rather have them as friends than some of you who pretends to be civil without any sorta pride in your rides.

At least they'll argue their points and fight it out to defend their rides and their posession.

What are you guys doing? Like a critic, sitting there pointing your fingers like an adolt.

I bet half of you don't even know how to drive your car.

damn, hippies. you guys probably oppose the war too or eating meat.
.....

i thought i've seen it all.

3mm headgasket will drop the compression to 9.0:1

Okay, so you are saying that is all they need, other then external fuel mods and computer stuff, but no other internal mods to run 600whp+? Just slap on a big Garrett and go?

Who gives a sh$t about how much hp each car has. They are both excellent cars. Go bash a chevy cavalier or a chysler crossfire or some other true piece of garbage. These forums are getting filled up with absolute garbage. Most of you need to find a new hobby. This thread should be closed and everyone in here should be *****slapped for wasting time.

10.7@132
2002 S2000 (AP1)
specs on the s2000 as is during the run.

the car is a 2002 S2000 (ap1)

STOCK block, Just InlinePRO thicker headgasket.
InlinePRO turbo kit, the same ones we sell.
Nitto Drag radials 245/50/16 (stock wheels)
Driveshaft Level 2 axles
Competition clutch
Stock rear differential
InlinePRO 3" catback exhaust

The car was making 560rwhp on race gas.

Car has full interior and is daily driven.

The car is running a GT35R at 25psi on C16 when it made 560rwhp
The 3mm inline pro gasket drops the comp to ruffly 9.0:1
I'm sure some headwork would need to be done. This guy is making 560rwhp on only 25psi. This was a little bit ago, so I'm sure he's making more power now. There are other's making more power, but they don't have any drag strip results yet.

Interesting. I guess I haven't been paying attention. I have seen high hp S2000's before but thought they were mostly for show or dyno queens.

Because the drivetrain sucks for drag racing! Anybody need a transmission for a core or to rebuild it ? second gear is gone!!! 2,800 miles ,free!!
