im actually going to be running the OEM evolution tire (yoko advan a046) on stock gold bbs's for the event. I got them as used takeoffs for $340 for all 4 (about 4k street only miles) anyway I gotta save some money and go with those, but oh well they should do good! I am going to run race pads though, then besides the maxed out factory alignment (max neg camber up front) and the FSB im pretty much stock.

I'll be on the stock Evo advans as well. I also have a rear sway, maxed stock negative camber up front, PF front pads, and some WORKS power mods. Unfortunately, I will be there on Saturday afternoon to watch and running only on Sunday due to work commitments. I really don't know if I will be at all competitive , but I know I'll be faster on the track at the end of the day than I was at the beginning! See you all there

Have fun, but I hope you've driven a course in the same class as Mid-Ohio. It deserves some respect. If you have any decent power you'll be doing 130 down the back straight into T7. There's lots of run-off room, but if you go off you'll probably be stuck there. Many cars fall off the hill right in T8 (Madness). There's a little rise coming out of T11 (entrance of Thunder Valley), if you get on the gas too hard too soon the back end will step out left as you crest it.

Those are the pucker spots for me. I haven't even gotten close to taking T1 too fast, the sight of brake markers and a bridge just makes me take off too much speed, there's a lot of track and if you stay on the gas you'll come through. I still have too much push to make T14 (Carousel) a risk but cars do go off there.

Buschur is supposed to have a car there that is at the paint shop now. AMS is also bringing a car. Might be fairly stock.

I saw a entrance for the Perfomance Autowerks EVO, That is the red one with the Airjack system in it and the nice cage. (below)

Thanks for the tips. My track experience consists of 2 HPDE's at Grattan in a Mazda RX-8, 2 at Gingerman in A VW R32, and 2 more at Grattan in the R32. I'm inexperienced but very eager to learn! I realize I'm probably going to get my a** kicked, but the fun will be improving my driving, and seeing how the "big boys" do it-both mod-wise and driver skills.

I just got the front only PF 95.7 pads from RRE. I haven't really had the chance to see what they can do yet, but the sure do squeel like a stuck pig under light pedal pressure.

Man, now I am really pissed I can't make it. I've got some laps under my belt at Mid-Ohio, but that is like the worst weekend possible for me.

The irony of the situation is I am going out of town to get my Eclipse out of storage so that I can get it ready for tracking in April. DOH!

Guess I'll just have to wait an extra month.

Andrew, did you get my PM on the STi forum? I am "Twinturbo" over there.

PS - I would like to know how well the Evo OEM Yokos do; that's what I will be running on my car later this summer. I've still got my Dunlop Winter M3s on the car because I don't trust those Yokos when it's cold out... had a 'bad' experience with that once while a passenger in someone else's Evo.

I will probably put them back on mid-April or so, depending. They've only got like 1000 miles on them as of now.

What tire is every one running on in the street class??????????

Winston, Those are definatly homemade about 30 minutes before the pictures. I actually used them to roll the car back onto (off the scales) so the scales can be reset if/as needed.

Matt
I'll be running my Advan Neova's in street class.
