whatever the case maybe it doesnt matter anymore becasue its getting fixed.

 

I dont know why the shop would say that evos haev weak pistons. The evo 4g63 is one of the strongest engines arround. people are making over 500whp on stock block with no issues. Bad tune, bad gas = blown motor.

 

Well your problem is that you were detonating. Simple as that. I can tell just by the pics. You need to have good tuning and run high octane. And please get a wbo2. This is just common sense. Evos engines are forged. They dont have weak pistons. You really have to be doing something stupid to blow an engine. The heads valvtrain is even steel which is very strong. The only weakness in the engine is the studs, rings, and bearings. The only reason why the stock block is finicke over 500hp is because the pistons werent coated.

 

this is what im heard from AMS, Titan / evo store / my shop / 6 other shops and people that have evos and people from mistu plant down in blommington IL so i would take there word over any other avg. joe.

 

Thats funny cause I have heard the exact opposite from those same compaines you just mentioned not to mention Buschur, vishnu, perin, warrtalon, and many other non average joes. They all have told me and also from personal experience that the stock evo engine is good for 500hp not to metnion did you just read my other post about the evo's engine?

 

Hey man i got over 11 grand in my evo you think i wouldnt have a wideband comeon now. I was running 11.8 on topend i was fine even with the car being in safe mode the afc works great thats all i got to say about that. Plus my evo has 53k on it and ive only have had it for a year and a few months i put on avg 250 miles a day i do alot of research and now i got tuners and a sponser thats going to take care of tuneing and working on the car so ill i got to do is drive it i work for a liveing i dont sit in a shop all day working on my car or ive been working on cars my whole life like many of you other guys with your dsm and stuff im not a newbie i know what i need to know to get by. Thats why i pay a shop to look over my car not me.

i know that a evo with stock pistons and rods can suport 500whp i know becasue ive been told by the same people. plus every car is differant and you know that not every car here is going to act the same way and you know that. i was there when jose rivera hit 469 on a stock block so dont tell me i dont know what im talking about. And as far as warton or whatever his name is when he gets his evo with 500whp on stock turbo and doesnt have any problems with the block then tell him to talk.

Wow i cant beleave you guys. How many blown motor post have there been and how many people not ask whats worng what happen. As soon as i post something you guys do nothing but bash it.

Here is the real reason why the car did whatever the hell happen to it the tune plan and simple if you where to read my other part of the post it clearly states there was a half *** tune and i drove the car becasue i dont have a other car and this happen. The shop that did the tune with the AEM is giveing me a big break with the install on the new parts and tune becasue of the simple fact that i can go to town on there shop just by takeing them to court. And for the people that dont know what i mean by that pick up a book and learn you laws.

SO IT WAS THE TUNE THAT CAUSED THIS TO HAPPEN PLAN AND SIMPLE

 

English isn't your first language is it? But anyways, you blew your engine due to your lack of knowledge on what needs to be done and what you need to do. Furthermore, you blew it due to it being your only car which was your mistake right there. Never do these kind of mods to your only car. This should also be common sense.

Also you say you have a wbo2 well which one is it? Also have you taken this beast to the track yet? What are your times? Hp means nothing if you cant use it. I could have a car with the most hp in the world but it means nothing if I cant use it.

 

Your full of crap....... If this was your only car, and u KNEW you had a 'half-***' tune, why did you go full-throttle? That is the only way you blew this engine....... You didnt detonate and cause this damage while driving normal........ So, it's not the shops fault, it's yours.

 

So can I ask who the dyno operator is that didn't stop the dyno pull when he saw 13.8:1 AFR at 4900rpm?!??!
