Part 2: Going to the ref :(

Original Thread which tells why i got my ticket:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=189770

Now this one.

So I started my day today goto work middle of work took of time so I could go up to the ref station in hunington beach. I bring all my stuff have the silencer in my exhaust barely can hear it now. Anyways I get there and the guy asks for license and registration and the ticket. Hand him all of the above. He is reading the ticket and the lady wrote the ticket to my license plate number which I will not even be getting for 3 months!!!! my car is brand new about 2 weeks old and does not even have license plates. Anyways the ref cannot do anything cause I have no way of showing him that the number she wrote is the plate number that belongs to my car why couldnt she jsut write it to the vin. Anyways im talking the the ref guy and she gave me a POLLUTION ticket not a sound ticket he didnt even have to test for sound loudness he said. So I leave there without any papers because he cannot even do the test. I call the police staton 4 times trying to get a hold of someone who can help me. I left a message on the lady who gave me a ticket voice mail i left one on the sargents and this other officer who I know personally asking him for assistance I dont know what to do. So anyways I am pissed cause this was a huge waste of time. I drive down to the courthouse down here and talk to a guy and the guy was like thats total bs she shouldnt of written you a ticket to your license plate if your car is 2 weeks old. I said can I talk to the judge tomorrow he said your ticket wont even be in the system for 3-5 weeks. So Pretty much I cant drive my car forever and I have a full time job 7am-6pm every day m-f which involcves driving. So aggrivating my car is fully stock except a exhaust which isnt even illegal. Anyways the sargent called me back later that day and I told him the whole story and he said he cant do anything unless she wrote you up for something else on the ticket thankfully she did. She wrote me for no insurance and obstruction of view (because of my radar detector) Insurance was bs cars brand new they dont let you drive it off the lot without insurance which I have its just no on the card yet cause they havnt sent it out yet. So I tell him the story and he said he would call me back to see why she wrote it to the plate when I dont even have plates. Called me back and said the dmv registered your car to those plates (I havnt recieved them yet cars to new). He said he would help me out just wants to get the whole story cause right now its only my word and not hers. I told him I wouldnt care about this ticket if she wouldve jsut did it right cause this is a huge problem and a even bigger mess. I had the top cover off my intake when she pulled me over cause I lost the bolts so when I get on it it sounds like a whistling noise which is no good and she said thats not stock im like yes it is jsut the cover is off because its broken. Anyways.. Needed to vent this is a huge *** pain and wow im so frusterated it shouldnt have been this hard i lost abotu 500 dollars today due to missing 3 hours of work.

worst thing is I bought this car and i am making payments to a car that I cant even drive cause of her.

Cops going to call me back tomorrow with update if he got a hold of her. Id be happy to goto the ref but this is a huge hassle and no point. hey cant even smog our cars cause its awd they jsut do a sniffer test thats it thats what the ref said lol.

sorry about spelling I really didnt check it I was just typing really fast.

Hey do you have to already know how to fix computers or do they offer job training?

Man...I think you have very little appreciation for what you have there. You could be driving a work van making MUCH less.

If your car has been registered, it will have been assigned a plate. Obviously you have not recieved your plates or registration yet though. Go to the dmv and see how they can help you. If you can get some sort of print out that would be helpful. Your registration (or hopefully a print out of one...if they can do that on the spot) will have your plate number and VIN on it. The ref can verify the plate number with the one on the ticket and match the vin to the vehicle assigned to the plate.

As for the insurance. They won't let most people drive off if they don't have insurance on another car they own. They don't expect you to have insurance already for a vehicle you dont't own. So, yes you can leave the lot without insurance. Your vehicle insurance can be faxed to you from your provider. Have them fax it to your work so you don't waste any more of your free time.

Exactly why I moved out of the People's Republic of California. The cops here in South Carolina couldn't care less if I ran without a cat.

Sorry to hear about that (saw your other thread before).

Stories like these (I'm from Orange County too) are EXACTLY why I'm not touching A THING on my Evo IX (getting her next week).
