I do the same except for the keys on the roof. Turn car off, rolled down window, get license and insurance ready, have both hands on top of steering wheel. And most of all, don't BS, cops hear BS all the time and they know it when they hear it. Plus, give them a break, ever watch cops and see what they go through, not knowing if you'll pull out a pistol and shoot them in the face.
