Need Help Very Fast!!

Whats up! Ive been an evo owner for about 16 months and im having a problem. I've modded the car with Ams cat-back, Boost guage, Boost controller, Safc 2, hks ssqv bov. Now im having a problem my car is making this really loud whislte when i drive it, its like a siren almost, also im only boosting about 2 pounds at most, and my car idels rough and sputters. Ive had one mechanic look at it and he said the possibilities are the turbo bearings are out or there is a vacuum leak somewhere which is causes the wastegate to stay open. i was wondering if anyone had any ideas about what could be wrong.

There's definitely a major boost leak then. You need to go do a pressure test on your system:

http://vfaq.com/mods/ICtester.html

Make that, then use it to find where your huge boost leak is. I'm sure the HKS SSQV isn't helping anything (why in the world do you have that?), and I'm sure your tune isn't very good with the SAFC (why do you have this, too?), but I don't think either of them are causing this problem, especially if it just recently started happening.

I need to know one thing for sure:

Did you CHANGE ANYTHING recently, after which the problem occurred? Or, did it just randomly out of the blue begin to happen?

Last question...do you have the stock intake still using the stock intake snorkel, and is it fastened down with both clips?

try to describe the problem a bit better, like when did it start...did you do change anything recently...try and be a bit more specific, but it sounds like an i/c hose may have popped off...

if you cant build any boost, did you check your IC hoses? maybe one popped off.

It sounds like your turbo is shot.

IT could be the turbo seizing, but the most simple answer is an IC pipe came off. You'd know, though, because you would have trouble going over 25mph. I'd definitely do a boost leak test first before wasting another minute speculating or responding to this thread...
