i need to fit it on my car to confirm that there is a solution for those individuals searching for a crash beam for their IX rear bumper.

It appears those that want a rear crash-beam on the JDM rear bumper
will have to have it custom fabbed.

isn't this part just the license plate holder? NOT the (non-existant) crash beam?

I saw some member posted pictures of a CUSTOM rear CrashBar that will protect the JDM rear bumper when used in the USDM car. Search for it.

Why is everyone freaking out about a 5mph bumper? The purpose of it is not to save your life at high impact, on the contrary its for very low speed impacts. Hence why the Japanese car doesnt have one because they dont have the 5mph safety rating issues we have.

I'm not freaking out, but I would like to have one, because:

With it a 5mph bump would be just that and not end up being a $4000 repair job (Wild guestimation) with my car being laid up in the shop for weeks and me driving a POS rental. I do realize that even with a crash beam, the car could have minor damage, but less is always better then more.

And then on top of that the off chance insurance wo't pay for it because I removed structural/safety equipment from the car. Although I admit, the latter is highly unlikely if someone rearends me.
