My friends and I have a long tradition of stopping in North Platte to gas up and eat at Amigos on our way to and from Colorado. Nothing beats those Crisp-Meat Burritos. Then, of course, we get out as fast as we can.

+1 Because you can't prove the storm or the sand caused the damage. If they do cover it they will raise your insurance premium or drop you all together.

Good luck

Considering the storm was on the news and Interstate 80 was shut down thru out all of nebraska for over 18 hours coupled with the fact that I have gas reciepts to prove my travel and times. I'm not too worried about them doubting the storm.

I'm not talking about a few rock chips here and there, I did more inspecting, the entire undersides of the side skirts, the rear portions of both rear doors even have numerous chips (50+), it's not me being nit picky, as a matter of fact lemme go snap some pics and post em.

Oh yeah, and I have rallyarmor mudflaps to boot. ( Which I must say are flawless after the storm.)

I would think they would cover it. You will still have to pay your deductibile, but that is still going to be cheaper than the price to fix your car.

Ouch, that sucks!! Your insurance should cover it minus the deductable but it will raise your insurance.

Thats fine by me, I turn 25 in september so I'd only have a raised premium for a few months, that by far is cheaper than fixing this myself.

I am hoping that the $385.00 Koyo radiator and $675.00 AMS Intercooler are cheaper than the factory parts that need to be replaced. Luckily a friend of a friend has a body shop who does most of their business w/ progressive, it should be taken care of tomorrow, I'm going in for an estimate.

You can probably fix your intercooler with a condenser fin comb.

Your insurance will cover this less your deductable but since you were driving while
this happened they will probably surcharge you at your next renewal (like they do
when you have an at-fault accident or run over something in the road).

UPDATE: Car is being covered by insurance.

-The entire car is being repainted
-Winshield is being replaced
-Front Mount is getting replaced w/ the AMS Front Mount
-Radiator is being replaced by a Koyo Radiator
-Headlights are being replaced by JDM MR Headlights

This is all being covered by insurance as the part upgrades are all cheaper than the factory mitsu parts.

That seem to be wear and tear stuff to me. Granted its a realatively new car, that happens to 99% of the cars out here in Colorado if you actually drive them.

Who cares, i wouldn't congrats, thats pretty sweet that they are upgrading that stuff. So if you say hit an animal and it smashes your Koyo and AMS FMIC will they replace it with another AMS one or a stock one?? they may try to rape you for insuring your upgrades also. just a thought

Its being covered, my claim has already been processed and the car is at the shop as we speak, they are paying $6190 and I am responsible for the $500 deductable. The radiator is not being replaced, just repaired. It wasnt as bad as the front mount. The AMS front mount is cheaper than the factory frount mount by about $70-80. The headlights are also being replaced w/ JDM MR housings, same cost as factory mitsu parts. Its not a question anymore wether it will be covered or not. I also don't think $6690 in damage is considered "wear and tear". I just want my Evo back, I have been without it since sunday and wont have it for at least 2-3 weeks
