No you wouldn't. Have fun "fixing" rust. Your insurance company isn't going to cover rust.

The headlights are also being replaced w/ JDM MR housings, same cost as factory mitsu parts. Its not a question anymore wether it will be covered or not. I also don't think $6690 in damage is considered "wear and tear". I just want my Evo back, I have been without it since sunday and wont have it for at least 2-3 weeks
Dude thats well worth the wait for only 500 bucks out of your pocket, pretty much 500 bucks for a paint job FMIC, and all the other stuff, DANG!

seems to me you were following someone too close. ive been in colorado all my life and NONE of my cars look like that, and thats after years of driving in snow with gravel on the roads. its good that theyre covering it all though. next time, dont follow so close

seems to me he said it happened in Nebraska not Colorado, and unless you were driving next to him, you really should judge his driving habits.

My jetta looks that bad, the entire front is like that. Windshield, lights, radiator, paint. Although it didnt happen in 2 hours of driving.

At least its getting fixed , I cant afford to pay that much to get my car to look nice again.

Well when 80 is shut down for 18 hours starting on a monday night and there is 2 days worth of traffic on the highway, flinging up what was literally a 1/2" to 1" layer of sand at your car maybe you'd think differently. Unfortunatly the 1000 ft. of space I was leaving in front of myself and the next car kept getting used by semi's to pass. When the semi's drive right over the center line they tend to fling up everything that has been spread there. Maybe you have never seen what 80 looks like when there are literally miles of semi's bumper to bumper in the right lane. I lived in fort collins, I had my car on gravel roads before and have had it in the mountains plenty. You know when yout in the mountains and the semi's run over the slush how it flings up gravel (actually its mainly cinders in the mountains), well imagine that slush being solid gravel and sand, no snow mixed in, then image it for two hours straight in stop and go 60mph to 0mph traffic. It was really bad timing, but dont draw conclusions until you get the facts.

and this didn't happen in Colorado, it happened in nebrask, starting in North Platte to be precise and ending in Omaha heading east on highway 80 beginning at 3:00pm cst.

you live on the east coast huh. first, we was driving from colo to nebraska, and second, we get just as much snow and gravel. its simple driving tactics to not get hit with waves of slush + gravel.

just cause there is traffic doesnt mean you have to follow so close your car gets trashed. you think in that 2+ days worth of traffic everyones car looked like yours? doubtful, especially in stop-and-go. harsh i know but you cannot deny the fact that had you driven differently, your car would have fared better.
