A legend? Nah... it needs to do more to be able to be in the ranks with these guys.

Skyline > Supra > RX7 > Evo

 

then why's the evo hold the overall and AWD class records at Tksuba(or however the hell you spell it!)circuit in japan where all these skylines, supras, and RX-7's try to top it?

 

i'm with Arithmetic on this one... not saying i dont love my EvO... but common!!!... it's the Skyline and Supra .. and the RX-7 we are talking about here people!! the king of the freaking streets!! ...

The Skyline is the largest displacement AWD car (for imports) and is capable of putting down more power and faster (as of now) 1/4 times then the Evo... there's NO car people want more then the Skyline.. and everyone knows.. pride aside... everyone would want a Skyline

Then there's the Supra... WTF? hahah .. what kind of car with just Fuel, bolt on's (including turbo), and a Standalone can hit OVER 650 WHP SAFELTY?!?!?!? the ONLY other car i know of that can do it is the Grand National! i mean the Stock tranny can take over 1000whp .. that's just RETARDED.. i mean they are the 03-04 Cobra's of the Important world no questions.

and Lastly we have the rx-7.... the last true wankel rotor powered car... and boy was it a BEAST .... STOCK car and driver got like a 12.9 (when it 1st came out in 93) .. w even STOCK TIRES..... i mean the car hung in there on power levels as the rest of the boy boys... but weight sooo much less.. stock is what like 2800 lbs? 500+ lbs lighter then us...

I mean dont get me Wrong ... when it comes to the NEW production cars from Japan... nothing can touch the Evo ... i mean stats wise.. the STI MIGHT.. but we all know it's not as good.. =D.... but we cant compare our cars to the KINGS...... that's just my .02 cent eh?

 

that's ONE course.. dont get me wrong that's awesome and all.. and some courses are just better for other cars.... and we all know that

 

Already a LEGEND

 

Man, it takes more than running the fastest time around tsukuba to become a "legend".

Don't me wrong the evo is an awesome vehicle, but we are talking about skyline, supra and rx7, these car have made there mark in the game, etch there name in stone, stole the hearts of tuners from the USA, thru Europe and back to Japan. These cars make cult status look like child play, they are legends.

Even if you have an evo, just step back and compare all 4 cars and the acomplishments they have all done and than put them back in order, is the evo seriously number 1? That's why it said give it some more time and the evo will be up there.

It's definately a legend in the WRC. On the road course it probably is also a legend. But I don't think it's a legend yet on the strip.

 

im sorry but i find nothing interesting about an Rx-7 except everyone i know that has one now had one becuase the pieces of s*** broke down, Evo is a legend in japan, and will do so within the next few years here, a jap. kid here goes absolutley nuts when i bring my evo to school in Indy.

 

actually if you watch some of the best motorings, you can see that the stock evolutions and Sti's blow the skylines and supras away.

Or watch racing bonanza, they even bring out the nismo skyline, but it still cant compete with the evolution or the nsx

skylines are overrated, you need to put in a lot of money to make it go really fast.

best motoring is really good, you can see how those cars perform in stock form.

 

The EVO are a true legend in Japan but not quite yet here in US because it is still building it. The car are still new and most people dont really know the capabilities of the EVO yet.

It is the only 4 door sports car on the list... pros and cons can go both ways.

 

Im suprised no one mentioned the 300zx tt. I thought that car always competed with rx-7's and supra's.

 

You know its a legendary car, because when it was not here it was always being talked about, I use to hear people say nothing handles like the evo, this was long before the evo came out...like back in 96.
