Will the EVOS become a LEGEND as the MIGHTY SUPRA AND SKYLINE??

the Z is very torqy with the 3.0L V6 but it is just too heavy. I plan to keep the EVO even when I have kids so the AWD turbo 4drs is a perfect car for me.
But yes, the 300ZX is an legend on its own.
It is a legend already.
It is not quite up there yet with the skyline/supra/rx7 crowd, but it's a 4 banger with 4 doors. it's proven itself over and over on road courses, posting laptimes better or same as the big boys...pretty crazy for a inline 4 saloon.
inline 4 saloon pwning a lambo on a track is also pretty not bad
and all this time we're talking about how the Evo does on pavements, wait till it gets on rally courses and we'll see it fly away from its competitors.
IMO the supra/skyline/rx7 are not in the same class in the evo. the evo is a 4 door 4 cylinder rally car that's brought to the road. the supra/skyline/rx7 do not have the versatility of the Evo, though they are better than the Evo in the areas they are each good at.
didn't a guy who just recently got his Evo 9 also own a rx7 and supra tt? maybe he can help out

a large reason why the Supra's resale value is SO HUGE is because of the Fast and Furious movie. I was trying to sell my supra before that movie for $24k (88k miles) and a year after the movie it sold for 32k!

Too bad that the F&F movie doesnt do the same for the EVO's resale value.....

The Evo is already a legend- The Evo IX has the highest hp per Liter of any production car (143hp/L) not to mention its rally history and what its capable of when tuned for the track.... even right from the factory the thing is a beast and has been since the Evo 1 first appeared. Here is a video of an Evo 7 taking on a R34 skyline spec V, NSX, Ferrari 360, Corvette and Porsche 911 turbo AWD... cars that cost 2+ times as much and have at least 2 more cylinders... (Keep in mind all these cars are completely stock and driven by professionals who know how to drive them)

The only reason the Evo doesnt win is because it doesnt have as much power and cant pass the Skyline and 911 on the long straight aways... but as you can see in the video it handles better in the corners. It still hands the NXS, Vette, and Ferrari their @$$ tho...
