If I'm not mistaken the V Pro does not control the MIVEC and you would have the flash the ECU to control or make any changes......

I dont think there is anything better man. Like the other guy said MOTEC is for the big dogs that really knows whats good for there evo.

I know Jay at Mynes Performance has tuned a few EVO's with Motec. He has it on his 2.4 shop EVO as well as a few customers cars. He swears by Motec and he is also a dealer. He is also an HKS dealer so he would be able to tell the pros and cons of each. Search for bOostedEVO8.
