One thing to keep in mind is if EVOm wasn't here another forum would be and we would be there. For instance our own forums. The internet is quite amazing as if you do a search for Mitsubishi, EVO DSM etc., you will find hundreds of links. Our name comes up in these searches literally thousands of times. We are not hard to find.

I think the content of our site is about as good as it gets. We keep adding information, tech infor there is top notch etc.

If you do a google search for Mitsubishi Racing you will find that Buschur Racing is the #1 and #2 sites that come up.

Yes, there are sales here to be had. It is just a good place to hang out mostly and that is why I use to spend so much time here.

It is not the end all to our business though like many people here thought it would be or would be if the ban was permanent.

Dave, I think you've got the right idea in regards to publishing info on your own site. I never did understand why so many vendors seem to use EvoM as their sole on-line forum. It is not difficult to setup a message board and if you are your own moderater, then it's easier to keep people in line.

I think EvoM is still a great place to discuss ideas and products, but the arguing is probably better left to us users/fanbois/nutcases, etc.

David, why dont you have your own vendor forums like DynoFlash, AMS, etc here on EvoM? That way you wouldn't have to look through all the crap post in Evo Gen and Evo Tech. It would save you some time, and your customers and members could go straight to the source to ask you a question, or so you could post technical threads that wouldn't become over run with off topic posts.

Just a though.

you are 100% correct, there would be another forum if there wasn't EVOm, with the same drama and arseholes.....all forums are the same really. but, if you weren't here and all the other vendors were, woudln't you agree they would take some of the business that may have very well been yours had you been on here to advertise? this forum is sort of a catch 22 for vendors, you guys can blow your own horns, but can't really say anything bad about some other vendors products without them seeing it and taking offense to it, even if the product merits a bad review.

im just glad i don't have to deal with it, because id lose sleep and pull my hair out too.

The benefit of a forum here is the Search button finds all the vendors when you search for exhaust, turbo, heads, tunes, 1/4 mile times, ICs, etc., etc., etc. ... just a thought ...

 

if any joe shmoe had the ability to publically badmouth your livlihood, the company you created, and all your hard work and efforts you would probably lose sleep too. BTW of course that applies to any vendor as well.

As for your dBA meter.... why aren't you going to test at higher RPMs? You only really get a good sense of an exhaust systems noise from metering it at something other than a slow cruise IMO.
