who knew these vendors before EVOM
Being 43 years old and brought up on American Muscle cars, I am
new to the import scene. With that said, I was not familiar with any of the
Vendors here until EvoM. EvoM was a good starting point for me.
Also It's easy to have respect and admiration
for most of these vendors that come from a DSM background.

Hey, my kitty kat is named Kaos!
Someone made a statement along the lines of how did "we" get known before EVOm.
Not to brag but we have been in just about every major magazine there is on the market. The first magazine we were in was Hot Rod dating back to 1992.
There was a large Mitsubishi club back in the day too. I was one of the contributing editors to that back when it came out in 1993.
If you have ever been to our shop you will find plaques on our walls of major magazine press we have gotten, magazine features etc., The entire waiting room area is covered with them. Every wall. We actually have no room left and have stopped having them made when we do get coverage.
Then of course there was the ESPN coverages that we got from racing the Pro Class Mitsubishi Eclipse. I was interviewed many-many times on there. The car was so impressive when it came out there was actually a segment done to show how the engine was accessed and such.
Then there was the Talon Digest which was so old that when we use to participate on there it was all done in DOS.
There was also that little incident where we beat up on all those Muscle Cars at the NMCA National Event. That raised a lot of attention. Also got our records revoked by the new rule changes so we wouldn't be able to come back and embarrass all those mightly V8's.
Oh, there was that Silver State Classic thing too. The one we drove the car straight to 37 hours, raced, got 3rd place and then drove it back home. That was televised of course and was quite the talk back in 1993 too.
Did I mention we've been doing this awhile? haha Damn I feel old.
As I have said before, without Evolutionm there would have been something else, just as there always has been.
In my opinion the difference between when I started this and got tons of coverage and attention and now is this. Any schmuck can come to EVOm or any other site, claim he is some kind of expert, get his name out there and become well known.
When I started this you actually had to accomplish something before anyone paid attention.
Have a great day.
