who knew these vendors before EVOM

I personally did not know any of these vendors before I joined EVOM back in 2003. Don’t get me wrong, I spent over 20K on my s2000 before I got my EVO and a lot of money on other cars like GTI, S4, and many more. I understand, they have nothing to do with these vendors but I was searching all the time on the net and I made some serious transactions.

Now I would like a moderator to have a poll to see how much EVOM helped us and vendors to find each other.

It goes like this

I knew Vishnu before EVOM
I did not know Vishnu before EVOM

I knew Buschur before EVOM
I did not know Buschur before EVOM

I knew Works before EVOM
I did not know Works before EVOM

I knew Dynoflash before EVOM
I did not know Dynoflash before EVOM

I knew TT before EVOM
I did not know TT before EVOM

It’s a simple poll that will just show how good EVOM is...

Make sure that we can vote on every vendor as member might know one vendor but not the other.

+1...I knew of AMS b/c they are local, but I used to be a Honda guy so I only knew of shops and stores that catered specif to that make/engine. I'm glad that this forum introduces us to a lot of really good vendors. Keep all the new ones comming too

What are you writing a book or producing survey results? Something you trying to prove?
Its been hashed over already. Not like this site is the sole reason any of those companies or tuners exist today. A quality product or talented tuner finds its customer and market, one way or another. To say that the internet or in particular this site, is the only reason they exist is beyond retarded. As if there are no such things as magazine ads, articles, word of mouth from customers, not to mention race results and records. People today. Makes you wonder.

I really dont know what the purpose of your thread is either

However, I wanted to add some observations

#1 - I enjoy the evo m forums as a evo owner first and as a tuner second. I have been on here since before the evo came out, waiting for my evo to come and modifying my evo since day one before I earned a dime as a vendor

#2 - All Vendors pay significant add fees to support these forums. We would not invest financial resources if it were not a good business investment as far as money spent and the return upon that investment.

#3 - I knew of David Buschur before I knew of the evo and before I even owned my subaru WRX as he was not only a pioneer of DSM performance but also of Import drag racing being one of the early stars back when that sport started,

#4 - One of the most busy Evo shops I know of is Pruven Performance in Milford, CT who's parking lot is always overfilled with evos waiting to be worked on yet they never signed up as vendors and have never participated in the internet chat room drama.

i have no problem adding the poll that you want but i really don't see the purpose of this thread. all of the tuners that you listed (excpet for 2-3 of the top of my head) have been known in the import scene for quite some time and some of them have been on magazines many many times.

if you can maybe explain what you are trying to acheive with this thread, maybe we can help you a bit more..

Well its not important but i just thought it would be cool to know how many people knew who before this site came to life. That’s all to it...

how these tuners advertised before EVOM.

It would be interesting to see the results.
