When you drive and roll over bumps, your filter will be moving around allowing dust and other particles to be sucked in. Keep it on.

Not to mention sucking in hot engine air and throwing off the MAF readings just like if you had an open-element intake.

no dont put the lid back on...its sound sooooo cool

it will be ok...you really dont need an air filter too because the turbo fan stop the dirt from coming in...dont worry about hot air...thats what intercooler is for

BTW no one on this forms can afford an evo 9...ssshhhh, keep that on the down low..
