Just saw EVO VII in Boulder, CO!

Just saw EVO VII in Boulder, CO!
(I'm not a regular poster, but I HAD to tell someboy!)
No kidding. I saw it pull out from a side street and noticed the wing. Immediately started following it and noticed the fender flares and that the writing on the back deck lid was too long to be "Lancer" and must've been Evolution VII. Anyway, I got behind the guy at a light and got out of my car (he must've thought I was going to carjack him!). He was importing the car for Group N PRO Rally it turns out. He offered to pull over and let me take a look at the car. VERY nice.
It obviously was not any indication of what the upcoming US model will be, but he said his sources (I imagine he has some pretty reliable ones) tell him the US version will be 250-260HP and may be called the Eon. There are evidently some naming rights with RallyArt and calling it the Evolution.
Unfortunately I didn't have a camera with me in my car!

Of all the BS and rumors I have heard in this forum, from TT to V6 etc. this definetly takes the cake. 
EON....I think Docious is the one who stated it correctly as to what Jifithian really meant by saying that it is going to take an eon to get here! But this is good ...we are making this car into a legend before its arrival with these mythical sitings.

You got a point there! I don't think the EVO's coming at all. This is just a big rumor experiment, like that really bad movie from a couple years ago.
I forgot about the Twin Turbo and V6 rumors. It's sad people fall for this crap...

wow - didn't know that the guy's off-hand comment about the name would be such a big deal. Guess it doesn't really matter what it is called - I'd worry much more about the intercooler location, hp, brakes, aluminum hood/fenders, arrival date, price, etc. They could call it a Corsica (after the Corsica Rally?) for all I care - maybe less people would buy them!

I don't care what they call it. I'll just rip off the decals and replace them with Lancer Evoution VII decals and badges from Japan.
If I'm not mistaken, I seem to remember something about a rally team called somthing "Eon" or other and they currently drive Evo VIs. Could you maybe have miss understood him in that he was delivering that Evo VII to that team?
