Sorry if I sounded stupid in my previous but when I do posts I kind of just write what comes to my mind. I am aware how dumb mountain racing is but its a closed road so I am just risking my own life, when it comes to risking other peoples lives I wont do it, thats why I never ride with passengers.
Next time you do have a thought.....let it go.

I know a lot about cars and even more about sti's and evos. You obviously dont know anything about racing because if you think an underpowered car cant beat an STI you are beyond help. If anyone knows about STI power I do because when I first got into racing 2 years ago I couldnt keep up with a geo metro (not really, but you get my point) cars like STI's pushed me to become a better driver. I never said once that I can beat an STI all I said was I can put some serious pressure on them.

Sincerley I apologize for calling you what I did but I really hate when people think that going fast is all about power because its not.

And I also apologize for offending anyone here on this forum and even talking about racing. I am a true EVO enthusiast and racing enthusiast.

I was going to write more but I gotta go.

It might be true..AWD can be bad drivers look better...but when it comes to 60-80whp difference the power will overcome your "skill" esp in the straights on the track if you can keep up on the turns like you say you can.

that's your big mistake. I race my Evo religiously and know very well what it's like to put the beatdown on much more powerful and much more expensive cars. However, you fail to realize that the STi not only had another 100whp/100wtq over you, but it also SEVERELY outhandles you in all aspects of handling. You can't put any pressure on any STi that isn't driven by a mongoloid. I'm sure you think you can, but you can't, sorry. Your Eclipse has no handling abilities and no power. Even if you're a better driver, you wouldn't keep up...plus, you're talking about the street where nothing matters anyway. You would get destroyed on a road course by a stock STi.

no doubt on a track I will get smoked because it makes people feel safe. On a pitch black mountain road you will think twice before punching it. If anyone knows how much this eclipse differs in power from an STI like I said before I DO KNOW and on this course you really dont have time to push on the gas much. Come check it out and you will see what I am talking about.

I am glad you were entertained above poster.

But seriously I want to race someone now from this forum(or at least show my skill) because I think actions speak louder than words. in the next few week me and my buddy with an wrx sti are going to frisco at their scca track, I will probably be the only one with a silver eclipse so say whats up (i will be wearing my stunna shades ) and I also have a bright green helmet like dori dori (Im sure someone here knows who that is).

anyways in person I am sure I will like alot of you and visa versa. its kind of hard typing what you think and prove a point so I am done arguing. like I said before I dont know alot of people that like evos around where I live so I have a huge respect for the people on this forum that own them. I also have like every BMI dvd with an evo in it so I didnt just start liking evos and I know a lot about them from the history of evo and how it evolved from the first version to now the evo 9. Ive liked them for about 3 years now and like I said in my previous post my parents got the $ so I didnt really have a choice to get an evo(they thought it was too dangerous.....) im turning 18 soon so I thought about looking into an evo and I know and have known all the MSRP of a new evo so I started this thread wondering if I could get a used one which I learned that I cant until a year and at most a year and a half. I truly love you all

Yeah, I know what you mean. Before I moved to Alabama, I lived in Japan. A friend of mine used to take down all these high powered cars all the time. His car only had like 160hp, about like yours - but much older. We'd go to the mountain every Friday and Saturday night to see him race the downhill. The funny thing is, he didn't even like driving. His dad owned a tofu shop and made him do deliveries at 4:00 in the morning to a hotel at the peak. He started doing that in 7th grade, so that's how he learned how to drive so well. It didn't matter what he was up against, an FD, an R32, Sylvias, Evos, all of them got broken off by my buddy in his AE86 Corolla.

You've got mad skillz showing all those other people that you can keep up with them in your 3,300lb 140whp FWD car. It must be mad tyte to pass people up on the mountain while on your daily tofu delivery run.

You might think you have skill, but in reality you probably just memorized the course and have less brains than the driver taking the turns slower. Take it to the cones because at least then if you overcook a turn there's more road to slide onto. It's cool that you want an Evo, but I'm tired of seeing threads about another dead forum member. If you're not going to be mature then you need to stick with a car that's not fast enough to get you killed(as easily).

EDIT: LOL. I didn't see the post above when I posted.
