So my evo only came with one key, and after finding out home depot couldn't make me a new one, because of the chip, I went to tempe, az mitsubishi. They want $65 for the key and a "one time" $45 key programming fee. Please tell me that they're trying to scam me, as I wanted to see if this was the norm before dropping my hard-earned mod money on a damn car key.

 

That's normal. Be gald you don't own a Mercedes, or else it could be at least three times that.

 

Yup, Benz keys are like $190, if you don't have keyless-go !

 

ebay has them at a good price, but you have to get them cut somewhere

Should cost no more than $40. Programming the key is a different story since you only have one key.

 

yeah i think you need two to program yourself. not sure.....

Call other parts place since I got mine for $27 and they gave me a free reprogram.

i just called big two in superstition springs. $33 for key and most likely free programming. just ordered one here thurs. thanks guys.
