Tubular manifold questions?

So my friend the wicked welder wants to build me a Tubular manifold after I go after market turbo. Can any of you brainiacs tell me why go tubular? It would cost like 600 in supplies alone, does this have that big of an impact on the car. Also if someone can tell me how to post pics i can post some for a mr2. I know not as cool but still wicked.

For a large aftermarket turbo, you will definitely want a custom tubular header. On the stock turbo, it's not necessary. The stock manifold ported and coated works just as well or better in most cases.

Btw, only post pics of other cars in Other Cars...just FYI.

Thank you. What did you mean by only post pics of other cars, in Other cars?

Notice the capitalized words. We have an Other Cars section down at the bottom for non-Evo discussion.

I just took my tubular manifold off due to cracking welds. I would say port the stock manifold. Save his welding skills for the wastegate pipe and down pipe.

True true, I posted it here cause I thought it related to the topic.
