Straight up 4 wheel spin doesn't damage the tranny like wheelhop, of which I get none.

as for wheal spinning a four wheel drive yes you can and you can do it a lot!

i have seen some mad WRC guys doing crazy stuff!

PS. go for sticky tires and not too many rpm!

well my case is as follows i do 7600rpm launches with 35psi on my tires and i do 12.2 on the quarter mile stock clutch ,stock drivetrain just as japanese do it and nothing has happen to my car it has 10000miles on it! what i think is that if you get wheelspin you will save your drivetrain!!just my case!

Yep I'm right there with Warr. Nice burnout to clean them off and put just a little heat in them. I have video of me doing them since 04.

And fwiw, I didn't start doing it until after seeing Ivan do it. I used to do it on my DSMs, but never bothered on my Evo when it was lower-powered. As I got to the point where I started having wheelspin problems, I started doing the burnout to prepare the tires for a sticky launch.

I have also found that burning out usually gives me at least a tenth on the 60'.

Here is a video example.
