ever since i bought the car 4 weeks ago it has had problems( check thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=192545)and i have been bringing it back to the dealer. this morning they called me and told me they didnt know how to fix car and they are buying it back and I think I am going to get an 06 electric blue evo ix.

 

Thats awesome now you can say I have owned an evo 8 and 9..

You will definitely like the 9 more, Just basic mods and a flash gives you 330whp

Seriously, you will be much happier with a new EB IX than an old, used 03. Be glad they are buying it back, because most people just get the shaft.

Only the MR and GSR w/SSL. The RS and base IX do not have HIDs.

 

that is sweet! So your loan will stay the same? The 03' has HIDS so hopefully they will give you the SSL to match. best of luck with the transition, I am sure you will love it.

Hahaha, just foglights. That's funny.

The regular headlights are plain brownish-yellow pieces of crap and no fogs. If you want the exact details, a quick search would probably do you some good...

 

That's good to hear that the dealer is actually standing behind the car they sold you. It's rare that you hear about a dealer just buying the car back when there are major problems. More often you hear that they give the customer the run around and just keep replacing random parts on the car for weeks on end. This dealer being straight up and admiting that the car is a lemon and that they cannot fix it is commendable IMHO.

They are probably buying it back because they're afraid you will lemon it. They might still try to fix it.

Anyway, that's good for you. Just make sure you get a good deal with a new IX.

 

Holy crap did you buy this from a Mitsu dealer? Are you lying to us? Because April fools was a few weeks ago... good luck with the 9 you'll love it

 

If you want HID and don't want to spend the money for the SSL package, you can add aftermarket HID. Real easy plug and play install. Of course light pattern is not quite the same but not bad at all because of the projector design.
