Ditto for me. It pisses me off too, every car wash. It sucks, but you know, I bought the car to drive the hell out of it. I knew stuff like this was going to happen, and I just kind of live with it.

We'll I was told by "someone" that if I could show that this is a common problem and not just standard "wear & tear", that it would very likely be covered under warranty and that MNA would be liable to repair same.

If you've had issues with your paint, post it here, I'd like to see how common of an occurance it is.

Well, with mine (03' 30k mi. and change) the problem is definitely more with the front bumper cover than with the hood itself. I do have some nicks and stuff in the hood, but my front bumper looks like someones been shooting a bb gun at it.

*hides BB gun*

Seriously though, it's a problem for everyone who doesn't have a clear bra. I have a paint pen, but I'm thinking when I get the money, I'm going to get a new paint job, perhaps an off color to stand out, but more importantly, with more clear coats than Mitsu could count.

i have had my evo since the summer of 04. add in the hundreds of highway drives to college and no matter how hard i try to keep my baby in pristine order the paint chips make it look like s##t. the only thing to do like everyone else said is to shell out the money on a clear bra. the mitsu dealer that hooked me up a couple of times pretty much gave me the finger on this one.

I have an 03 TB Evo and if I had a dollor for every chip on the hood or front bumper that I had to touch up, then I could have bought a CF hood by now.

Im pissed I never did put a clear bra on the car when it was still new, now I regret it. My '05 has chips all over the front end, its definitely a defect on Mitsu's part, because the paint should be a more durable than this.

Mitsu paint sucks!
