Here is how my "professional' install turned out

Installed the following:
Helix Intercooler pipes
UR Hi flow cat
Turbo XS down pipe
Hallman MBC
MR BOV
Autometer boost gauge and oil pressure gauge

Installed the IC pipes and left the gasket hanging out between the Turbo and beginning of lower piping (boost leak).
Spent 2 days trying to install boost controller and finally came up with the conclusion it was made for the EVO IX, not VIII. Said I should return it, but they threw away the box and directions.
Didn't order the Oil Sensor for the Oil pressure gauge and don't know when it will be in.
Turbo XS downpipe banging on tie bars and instead of inserting supplied bolt in bung hole, they welded a big blob of crap in hole.
Ran through pink paint and splattered on the sides and underneath my car.
Used 1/4 tank of gas.
Luckily I was contacted by a fellow member (Gman) who with a few hours notice spent 4 hours last night fixing everything on my car while I provided the . If anyone wants to know of a shop to stay away from in S.W. Florida let me know !

sorry to hear about the bad install...why didn't you just do it yourself, my friend and I did all those same installs at home with normal tools. Just wondering, maybe saved you the hassle.

The problem is time. I am running 3 stores, work 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, and one day cleaning the house. Time is not on my side !

Wow talk about idiots saying a universal part will not fit the VIII cause its made for the IX? not to mention the hookup is identical on both cars even if it was made for specific vehicles, this is why I do all the work myself unless its very technical.....

I understand, sorry to hear about the bad install, hope all of that works out for you. Go find you a better shop. I have friends that live in the same town in florida, not evo drivers though haha.

You could give those parts to a pack of monkeys and had better results. Sucks that you had to go through that. Maybe that will spur you on to do your own easy installs next time.

Why don't you tell us which shop this was so that other folks in your area know to avoid them...

Get one of the cute little chicks at one of your stores to come clean your house for you on day 6 and then she can come back on day 7 and help with your pipe fitment issues.

I doubt my wife would dig that, plus we have a maid come on Wed but she doesn't cut grass, clean the boat, clean the pool, wash the dog, wash the car, the wifes car, oh and windows .

uhhh, how do you have time for an evo, a boat, a dog and still work that much. Man, more power to you. I have just an evo and dog, work 6 days a week and never have time for anything!
