Is thier a big defrence between the 5speed and mr

 

 

Yeah, one has an extra gear.

 

 

The gearing is basically the same with 1-4.

Just think of the MR having an overdrive and that your interstate cruising speeds will be at a lower rpm which will help with exhaust drone if you upgrade. Something like 700rmp lower in 6th vs the 5sp I believe.

Oh, and the 6sp is heavier.

Heh the MR is got alot more than you think

 

1st gear is shorter. 2.9 (6speed) vs 2.75

The 6th gear isn't that much taller than the GSR/RS 5th gear. The final drive is smaller on the 6speed. I'mdoin about 3k at 70mph in 6th.

But my MR badge below the shifter sure adds a few to the wheels!
