Are you looking for tranny fluid or differential fluid?

I have used Redline heavy shockproof in my front dif for about 12,000 miles now. No problems at all.

A lot of people on this site have said that the Redline fluids will lead to busted difs, but I think that most busted difs are from abuse.

I also have Redline fluid in my rear LSD. It was changed the same time as the front dif.

The only place you can use the RL ShockProof on the Evo is the TransferCase. Not the Tranny. And even then, stick with Mitsu's Diaqueen LSD fluid.

For the Transmission....No. For the Transfer Case and Rear Diff.....Yes.

Syncromesh (GM, Pennzoil, or BG) are what you want for the trans.

The only thing I didn't like about RL ShockProof is that it's so d@mn thick and takes forever and a day to drain.
Now I do it with Diaqueen and Do it often

If Shockproof is used in the tranfercase or rear diff, it is adviseable to use a friction modifier.

I would not use REDLINE. I used it in my car once. When I took the car to the dealership for trannt work, the tech told me that it cooked on the gears. I am using stock. I have 44000miles on my car and I have yet to change the rear diff fluid. I am going to be replacing it shortly.

I give the Heavy Shockproof a big . It saved my new t-case when the fill plug fell out on the drive home from having it installed (50 highway miles). A little less then 1/2 the fluid spilled out, yet the t-case is perfectly fine. No doubt because of how thick the Heavy Shockproof is. If it was lower viscosity, more would have spilled and probably led to a broken t-case.
