Just got some service done @ City Mitsu in Jax, FL...

And they had 8 EVOs in stock!!! IIRC, 2 red, 3 silver, and a smattering of white. I counted 7 on the road near Atlantic Blvd and one red MR outside the showroom. There were at least 2 MRs.

I've never seen that many before. Dunno if they are all 9s and new, but if you're lookin for an Evo, they have a few.

On a side note, I'm getting my rotors turned next week and A/C switch replaced - all under warranty. Their service department seemed very nice - they handled it quite quickly. They couldn't duplicate my A/C switch problems, but ordered one anyway.

Well I cant comment on their service, but I wouldnt buy from them. When I was looking at my Evo, they wanted a $500 non refundable deposit just to test drive/start paperwork for it. I asked the sales manager what if i didnt want the car, he said, non refundable. So i told him what i was looking for and told him if he found it i would come in and do the paperwork (i already had a preapproved loan). 2 weeks later and heard nothing, called and they said they would call me back in 2 days, well needless to say, i found my evo on ebay from a dealer in TX.

Well I got mine basically the same way you did...

But before I got it, I just walked on the lot, said I wanted to drive one and they put me in an 05 SSL with a sales guy that modded the crap out of a DSM.

So I dunno what to tell ya there.

Its all good, i understand what youre saying. However, you have to wonder why they have so many evos on hand, maybe "they" cant get them to sell.

off topic, is it true they shut down pecan park dragstrip?

I heard that too. Kinda sad - that place was there forever. Gainesville is the only thing close now. Personally I run with the SCCA Solo II guys in the CFR region (www.cfrsolo2.com) in Deland and St Lucie.

flabarm: Dunno - I just saw the boatload of em there.

I went there a few months back to see if I could trade my 2004 350Z Track model for an Evo. They told me that Evos were going for $2,000 over sticker and that they could give me $19,000 for my Z (which had about 15,000 miles on it at the time, but had been in an accident thanks to my wife). I don't know how I managed to decline their generous offer. That dealership ALWAYS has several Evos on the lot. I remember they still had at least 1 Evo VIII on the lot in early November.

They still have an 05 RR SSL at their Orange Park location. I remember going in there last fall when Mitsu had their incentives on the Evo's, and they were still trying to get over sticker!

An ignorant consumer is their best customer.......
