well what kind of installs have you done before, it definitely not something that should be left to a beginner, my first time doing them took a bit more time than normal but I wanted to double check everything to make sure I had it right...check evomoto.com for a tutorial on how to do them...

I have done all my other installs such as O2 housing, turbo manifold, intercooler, pipings etc but gave it to a mechanic for the cams install. Im sure I would be able to do it but all the horror that could go wrong if not installed properly. Afterall it is a internal mod. If you are at least comfortable doing mod I installed myself you can give it a try but definately not for for newbs.

Its not that difficult if you have some mechanical knowledge. Get the EvoMoto guide, for if you get stuck, a buddy, and a few beers. Have fun.

If you are not mechanically inclined i wouldnt recommend it.

Honestly, if you can operate a wrench and read, you'll be ok. Just make sure you have a tune ready for when you get them in. The evomoto guide is very comprehensive and shows pictures of everything. I'd say do it yourself.

It is not hard, but you MUST have a tensioner tool.

That is NOT the tool. Case and point why you shouldn't try it.

That's the tensioner, another needed part.

On a scale of 1-10 on difficulty, I give it a 9.5. Because if you mess up, you grenade your engine.

I recommend a shop that specializes in it. also recommend getting fuel injectors, walbaro fuel pump, and safc controller. Do you know who your taking it to to get it tuned?

If your playing baseball a .333 average isnt bad, but we're not playing baseball. You dont NEED any of those parts you listed, however a fuel pump is highly recommended. Fuel injectors at this stage and an SAFC are a waste of time and money.

I just installed cams and cam gears last night. I used the EvoMoto guide as a reference. The tensioner tool works great so I would recommend it, I got mine from AMS (http://www.amsperformance.com/store/...roducts_id=794). Total time for me was about 3 hours because I went slow and made sure everything was done right. I've done cams/gears/valve springs etc. before, so I knew what I was getting into. I was really amazed at how (relatively) easy it was. I rate it as a 6 out of 10 compared to other cars I've done.

If you've never done anything like this before, either take it somewhere to have it professionally done or get someone that knows what they're doing to help you. It's not just a quick bolt-on DIY mod and like everyone else say's, if you mess up, it's an expensive mess up. But all-in-all, it's not a terrible install if you take your time.
