I've decided to pursue the 9. The dealership I was at has a black GSR for $31,900. I'll see if they can work the same numbers on that one. Also, if anyone on here knows of a place local to the Philadelphia area with an Evo 9 RS, let me know. One other thing, does anyone know if you can still order a 2006??? Thats another option I was pondering.

Dude, I would seriously do more research. First off is the black gsr your talking about a 9 or a 8? Either way that car is overpriced.

Second of all, every evo 9 is a '06. I dont know what you mean by orering a 2006?

I can attest to this!

When I was getting the insurance on my IX, they didn't have any idea what it was (they asked me if it was an SUV! )

In fact, the only reason my co-workers know what it is is because we work at a Chevy/Subaru dealership (don't think I haven't heard any flack about this either...) I've never actually seen one on the road.

Anyway, I went the South Coast route and had a great experience with them. The only thing I would look into if I were doing it again would be perhaps choosing a different shipping company. DAS really hasn't been all it was cracked up to be (car should have been here today, but now we're looking at the end of the week).

Thanks for all the help guys. I ended up buying the '05. They made me an offer I couldn't refuse!!! Seriously, they cut like $50 off the original payment we decided on. The price of the car ended up being like $26,000. Can't beat that with a bat.

Don't ever buy a car based solely on monthly payment. You haven't told us the loan terms, and that's where you can get screwed. What's the total cost of the car with interest?
