Insurance Increase

Well my State Farm premium came due and I noticed that it went up a couple hundred dollars so I called my agent come to find out that during last year the information collected caused the rate on our cars to go up 2 full points.

Big thanks to those who helped my rates go up

Mine did the same with State Farm. I called Progressive, and you know how they do the 'shopping around' for you? Well, they came back with State Farm as the best price.

You can't really compare. Location, age, discounts, deductible can all vary. However that number is close to my old premium before this new hike.

Shlt, I'm down to $105/month for full coverage with Travelers for a 2-car household. 26/M/3 points.

I'm at about $1400/year with two points. I'm 27. One point was because they hadn't resolved at fault in the accident where a drunk driver totaled my Audi.... the other was for rolling a stop two years ago. I'm at 1 point now and have to get my policy ammended.

Yeah State Farm did go up, I guess the cost of fixing wrecked evos is so expensive they have to increase prices each year due to so many accidents, which is based off the points system on high risk vehicles....Im prepared fo it to go up every year? Unless people settle down a little on the road.....but I pay 625 ever 6 months and im 25....

I checked up on Esurance. As it stands (with THREE points on my record), I'd be at about $260-270 a month, or ~$1,600 every six months. The GOOD news is, in January of '07, two points drop off my record (three years at that point) and my insurance (with Esurance) drops to $804 every 6 months, or ~$133 a month.

w00t. Naturally, the rates will change by then...but I can't imagine they'd go up TOO much.
