I spoke with Calvin from Megan racing, the coilover set that I got are the newer version that they have for the Evos. They are called Track coilover set and the red ones are Street coilovers set.

This coilovers are soo new that they don't even have it advertized on their website

The difference is that the silver ones have higher Spring rates and stronger valving. MSRP is about $50 higher.

I recently purchased this set of Megan Racing. Everything looks good except the color.
I swear up and down I have seen everyone with purple Megan Racing coilovers, why are mine Silver?
Also, did you get any instruction manuals?, any warranty paperwork? is there any sticker that says where are they manufacturer? Is the top plate made of aluminium or steel?

Also, don't the top plate suppose to swing on its axis like a ball joint to accomodate the camber?. Mine looks solid.

Please, if someone has any relevant information let me know ASAP, these coilovers are scheduled for installation today, I wouldn't install them unless I know they are legitimate.

Please pay attention to detail to the numbers on the spring. Any clarification is greatly appreciated. It just shocked me to see over and over purple Megan Racing coilovers from everyone and now that I order my own they came in a different color.

where did you get these from?

 

Not sure, but I think the real Megan Racing coilovers are red!! I got all the paperwork with mine! Yours look just like mine(stickers and all), but my tops, and big adjuster nuts are red. The big adjuster sleeve was black! The tops are made of aluminium! The tops of mine took alittle force to move, but they did move. Hope that helps!

I got them from Logic Performance. I am very curious to see if anyone else ordered from them as well. I am not 100% convinced as we speak.

Is there any part number specified for these coilovers? I ordered them thorugh them by phone base on the picture of their website and also base on other customer posting their with redish/purple finish.

I just don't get it. This is a copy and pasted picture of their website. It just doesn't add up to me.....

Dude call megan racing and give them the serial number thats on the coil overs. Every major part liek that has a serial number. They can check in the database and tell you if its one of their own.

 

Where will that number be?

Are you saying that they are selling now the silver color just like the ones that I got on the mail? or are they selling both?, I am confused.

Every single post I have seen everyone posted their red coilovers, as far as I know I am the only one I have seen these coilovers in silver.

How are you so sure (not being an ***, just asking)?

Logic performance is a legit vendor from what i know, just call up megan and double check. I'd be surprised if Logic sold u fakers.

 

I dont know I dont own them. Just look at each one all over them to find it. Its probably near their emblem.

Also sometimes companies change designs/colors of their product. You may have gotten one of the first ones of that particular color.
