It's not the same "Cobra engine but without the supercharger." The Cobra engine with the supercharger is an iron block, the Mach is an aluminum block from the 99/01 Cobra which, incidentally, is not the same as the aluminum Teksid block from the 96-98 Cobras.

425 on the dyno? Huh? They're rated at 390 to the crank and some happen to dyno 390, but I haven't heard of 425 to the wheels in stock form...

I'd like to see a stock cobra dyno 426whp when the crank rated hp is 390.

How about this, how about we all stop arguing and wait and see what happens? We can butcher each others posts all we want but what matters is what really happens in this race.

If the evo wins then you mustang lovers can admit you were wrong. If the mach 1 wins then I will admit you were right.

I think this is fair here.

I dont know how much more fair I can put it?

Way to fling names. Real mature way to carry on a conversation/discussion.

As for your 420+whp stock Cobras...throw up a dyno sheet.

A bit of advice...if you haven't personally seen a dyno sheet showing a stock Cobra putting down 420+whp, don't go claiming it on a forum. That's how misinformation is started.

Also, if you're claiming some abnormal like this, evidence does worlds of good to back things up.

Most 2003/2004 SVT Cobras dyno at about 380whp IIRC. They're about as easy to mod as the Evo too. A pulley, X pipe and a better flowing exhaust will put you damn near 450whp. True story. The Mach 1 is not as quick but it flies. 106mph trap in a 3500lb+ car is impressive. OK unsubscribing again.

^Yes well when you have 8 cylinders and over double the displacement then we do then I better see some impressive numbers hahahaha. Not to mention the stang has been around since for god knows how long. Its gotta be around 50 some odd years or so haha.

Race and find out. The Evo should win (not by much) if the Mustang is a stock Mach 1. The Cobra on the other hand is a totally different car that will hand the Evo it's *** (stock vs. stock).

Well that's what the thread is about though: V8 vs turbo 4. No need to get defensive. I'm just pointing out the reality of the situation. If you start taking jabs at the history of the Mustang or start complaining about displacement then this thread goes uber-OT.

Well its already OT. But I undersand where your coming from. I too was also pointing out the reality of it. And the reality is Ford is crap except for the Ford GT. Its not even an american product anymore. Most of it is farmed out to other countries.
