Keep the Evo or get Porsche GT3?
She does not mind the ride at all, she just is not into the plasticy Evo. Her point is why not have a great track/weekend car that looks good instead of a great performing cheap not so good looking car. Plus I know she is sick of the Evo being in 9000 pieces half the time.
I had some pretty brutal coil-overs on my S4 and she loved that car, so ride is not a issue.
The 993 TT was a hot looking car and the GT3 looks good also. She is an engineer so to her it's black and white, why not have a great looking car that also performs? That and the fact she is sure the GT3 will not be is pieces all over the garage floor/basement/yard/Buschurs shop
That and the fact if I add up everything I have spent and what I am going to spend I am sure it is well over $50k, she also makes a valid point of how much the GT3 holding thier value well.
I do love the looks of the GT3 but I also love beating the *hit out of the Evo which I don't think I would do with the GT3.
But who knows, funning how things change when you get on the track Like the last Ruf I drove had a $ sticker on the remote boost control as a reminder

)White is hotness
now did you post this cause you really dont' know what you want, or are you just trying to rub in that you're filthy rich and that you can afford a gt3, cause honestly if you could afford a gt3, there's no reason why you can't keep both the evo and a gt3, and a boat, a beach house, etc. But if you had to ask, i'd say don't waste your time with the gt3, buy an NSX, hahaha, i just love that car, or if you can import an nsx type r.
OP: i dont think u ever answered my question:
selling ur f250 and g500, then keep the Evo for u, and get the GT3 for wife (even though u'll get to drive it a lot too)
i think this is the best way; it's a compromise btwn u guys, and she'll get her dream car, while u can keep ur Evo and drive one of the best Porsches ever made, the 997 GT3.
and yes, get a white one. it is just beautiful.
so how's about it, keep the Evo, get 997 GT3, and sell the f250 and g500?

4ringturncoat,
Just a little remark on your comment about how well the Porsche retains its value, well here is the fact, Porsche is the leading manufacturer that has the most cars in the road by porcetage since production. I am not saying there are more 911s than Ford F150s, I am talking about porcentage rates.
How this translates? Well, 80 % of the total Porsche cars ever made are on the streets today and running, that means if you take a porcentage for Porsche burnt by vandalism or any Porsche lost in a natural disaster or a Porsche lost in an accident taht tells you that the Porsche cars are the leading cars in value, it is so true that a Porsche hardly losses any value(except the 924 and 914).
Also, not to drift you away from European quality and engineering but have you consider a Z06?, I am not kidding, they are very competitive, I am thinking of one in the near future
Carlos

The GT-3 is, without a doubt ... AWESOME. But, if I had to ditch my Evo for a 911, then one like this would be my choice: http://www.evoms.com/one%20lap%20specs.htm (minus the decals)
