Mustang vs. Dynojet
Mustang vs. Dynojet
If i was to make say......430whp on a mustang dyno what would that be=to on a dynojet? is it a percentage difference? I know this topic should be around on a different thread but i just can't find it.
I'm sure you can find it discussed hundreds of times.
There is no direct correlation. It depends on how the MD is calibrated. Typically, on a very low-reading MD, 430whp would be around 470-500whp on a Dynojet. However, some MDs read just like Dynojets, so you have to go by trap speeds.

MOST dynojets read about 10-15% higher than an MD judging by the timeslips people have posted. I always prefer torque numbers over hp numbers, the ft-lbs are what get you moving!
And of course the flatness of the torque curve (the area under the line) is also important as you want as broad a powerband as possible.
