If I was close by I would check it out. If it drove well, came out ok with the compression test, and didn't have obvious hidden body damage I'd buy it. Its probably stolen or something though =) Maybe he is a crack head?

It may not be a scam. If you look up classic cars you will see some that are selling for 500 bucks. But that is 500 bucks down + preapproval for the rest of the 25k+ that you will need to pay.

I am sure that it would probably scam ebay (having an auction sell for only '500$' and then the customer pays 25k - But it may not actually be a scam)

It is deceiving never the less.

Also, any car that you buy on ebay or online is taking a risk.

This is 99.9% a scam, and if it isn't, well the car must have no engine or something. Send a message saying you are close by and would like to see it in person. I'd love to see the excuse he comes up with.

my first evo was a ww 03 with 22000 miles and bought it for $26500 in nov. of 05 my down was a little over $6000. with payments of about $560 or so. so i think the $7000 is the down payment.

If I were someone I would buy the car, take it and then file a suit because he blatantly LIED on EBay which is, for all intents and purposes a binding advertisment. Legally the sell has to address the issues with a car...12....TWELVE carfax reports and he says there is nothing wrong with it.

My God people suck.
