Has anyone had this happen to them? I just put in my new MR tails on my IX and the rear blinkers dont work. The brake lights appear to work, but when I turn the blinker on I can see it blinking up front but nothing coming from the rear. The blinker also starts out slow (tick, tick, tick) then it speeds up to a tick tick tick tick tick which seemed kind of weird.

Of course I tried unplugging the ONLY connection from the chasis to the taillights, and also tried resetting my battery. Anyone have any ideas? My VII lights just plugged right in, the MR's shouldnt be any different...

 

oh yea, MR lights came brand new in box... Im going out to hook up my stock lights and ensure they are working with the way I am testing...

-edit- I read in some other thread the bulbs could be burnt out... HTF could they be burnt out, these suckers are brand new!! Bought from a very good vendor...

 

ok forget it, I actually examined the light this time and there are no bulbs in them. I feel kind of stupid for one posting this, and two not looking first before installing. However is it really common knowledge you need to install the bulbs??? My old VII taillights must have been used or something because they came installed. I'm assuming the OEM ones dont come with bulbs??

-edit- Im done swapping the bulbs out, everything appears to be working normally! I did have to force the blinker bulbs in though, I noticed on the female connector the gaps were different on the JDM one so I had to force the bulb in. It still works, its just nice and snug.

my mr came with bulbs...thats weird that u had to swap em!!!

 

I love em... dont know if theyre worth the price but they sure do look nice! Ill have to give props to the vendor in another thread, they came ontime and perfectly packaged!!!

 

dont the bulbs attach to the wires on the car that plug into the housing?

 

MR come with diff tail lights???

 

They are the JDM Evo 8 MR tails. The JDM Evo 9 tails look similar keeping in mind there is no JDM MR 9.

RES04 - yes you twist out the bulb connections on the rear of the taillight to install the new bulbs.
