I know a guy Will a Evo 9 and he has the Ams 4Inch TBE Exhaust..... his Mods are FMIC MBC and a Intake... No flash.. and his Evo Pulls hard... It sounds SOOO sweet Too.... Will i gain a lil more power if i add a 4inch TBE or lose power?

 

Why in the hell would he put a 4" exhaust on it? Thats not necessary unless youre running a big turbo like a 40r or a 42R

 

You wont lose power, but might not gain any either.

 

Might lose some spool up though without the right mods

+1 why would he put a 4" on unless he is buying a turbo kit? I have a 50 trim and ams stages 1-3 with methanol and I am just running AMS turbo back. no problems on my side....

 

You wouldnt lose spool with a bigger exhaust. Think about when you go from the stock exhaust to a 3" TBE. Huge decrease in spool time.

 

we have sold no 4" exhuast to anyone named Will. I would never recomend putting it on anything other then a GT42R. I think this guy might be pulling your leg.

We had another guy before who claimed he was using the 4" APS TBE...but it was just the regular 3.5". I think people just don't know what they're talking about. This guy doesn't have much of a clue if he's running an exhaust, intake, and FMIC with no tune on a IX...

 

FYI. Standard APS is 3.0", larger one is 3.5".
