I might go for a laugh. How can everyone get mad at them for riced out cars or terrible drivers? Thats all they need to make money. shame about the abuse though
terrible drivers? are you serious? rhys millen did the stunt driving for this movie... he's a pike's peak champion hill climber, as in he CURRENTLY holds many of the records.

if they're such terrible drivers i wonder how they do all those crazy drift scenes...

you guys are all really being stupid about this. it's a movie... and for what it's worth, there's some really freakin' crazy car action... and yeah, it's got a hollywood twist. yeah, someone will prolly yell nawwwwws. but who cares.... it's doin' its job...

So what the hell is the point of testing these cars in a magazine if they are slower than stock cars.

I dont know if you realize this but what you read are the stats of the Evo from the second movie, below that is the stats for the current movie Evo.

For those who care, the rwd Evo ran a mid 14. The interesting point I took from the article is RMR actually makes a kit now to convert your Evo to RWD (not that it would be hard to figure out yourself), that and the fact they made the donated Evo IXs look like VIIIs for some reason.

that is shocking. but then again as the dofus about is right it is a movie car they dont need it completely fast. but hell even at stock motor levels they should still run a better time then that.

Well as mentioned already it should run faster then that stock... but not when its stock and all that added weight, those times seem about right and espcially if its a 03/04 evo!

Stupid and uncalled for.

I noticed that too, but that is just the way the APR widebody kit is, it is like the stock VIII bumper, but...wider. They could have used C-west or DAMD again, but I guess it was APR who stepped up.

Evos do so well stock, they don't have to be modded. They are also new, so you don't have to go and dig up a bunch of used examples and fix them up to look decent on camera, like Supras and FDs. With Supras, most of them were just N/A's Maaco'd orange, with only one or two well sorted cars that need to look good up close. So that's why those cars (and the Skyline) actually perform decent compared to a stock Evo that's been beat on.

For an stock hp evo to run a 15.3, it would have to weigh at least 4100lbs, I dont think that they could add that much weight with a body kit and a system.

Well i havent seen lots of info on this car, or this magazine yet.... but with a rollcage(if it has one) and other items like that that weight wouldnt be that far off. I am saying that the times arent that far fetched (even though very poor) considering that there is alot more to 1/4 times then just the hp/weight ratio, like track conditions or humidity.

this thread shouldnt be turned into a political conflict... but your comment basicly stating that the plane hitting the trade center was a good idea so we can take over iraq is just ignorant...... The fact u think people should die so we can "take over iraq" (wich we dont own iraq) is just leaving me with with a lack of words, but it does make me aware of the type of people we have in this world!
