i just picked up the Sport Compact Cars magazine and it has on the cover..the RWD widebody evo.. i thought it ws a sweet car until i read the specs... it saids that they ran the evo and estim 1/4 mile is 15.3 ..evo is the slowest car out of the 5 cars they tested from the fast and furious 3... the fastest 1/4 mile car being the S2000 running 13.9.. is this bullsh1t or what..

Wow that is a lame evo. Australian versions of my Mazda 3 do 15's... pretty sad.

Well that's what happens when a ricer gets their hands on a stock evo, they put about 500lbs of stickers, and a ugly useless bodykit, which pretty much puts it into the 15's.

 

I see that issue too...

That's Hollywood, they put a director that has no clue what a car is and he has the responibility of making a car movie. It's going to suck.

They did the same thing when the second movie came out. The RWD Skyline, Supra, and RX-7 all ran like 13-14 sec 1/4 miles. Most of the other cars in that issue were faster.

But, you don't need a fast car when the camera can make it fast.

this is a film... where many times cars are destroyed in the process either on purpose or on accident. yes that evo might be GONE now cuz they CRASHED it! scc prolly tested it 6 months ago.

geez... sometimes the lack of thought here really kills me... also... last time i checked drift wacking didn't require fast cars.

 

I think you missed the point. The movie car is far slower than stock Evo's.
