Evo IX bulbs replacement

Hey everyone, Just bought my new bulbs for my evo (I didn't like the stock yellowish ones). So I was about to change them out last night and I noticed it's not going to be easy Is there a easy way of doing this? I read that VIIIs have to pull their bumper off to change the bulbs, but the IX manual says pull back the fenderwell

Can someone help me out.

Thanks

You remove the splashguard, and the manual shows exactly how to do it.

Cool, thanks. Does the VIII have different splashguards or something?

Also should I take the wheel off, or is it pretty easy with just turning it?

I wonder the same... after thinking about it, i thought of removing the splash guard. I'm going to try it this weekend to find out. If it's too much trouble im going straight to HID. this is too much hassle to keep changing all the time.

Hmm, I dunno why the IX would be different. I have a IX front end, but I've never changed my low beam bulbs. My car came with factory HIDs

i pretty sure you have to take off the bumper like the VIII. not really sure why the manuel says it can be done through the fender splash guard. i tried to change the lowbeam bulb through the fender and found it impossible due to lack of room needed to pull the bulb out.
