Dash lights
it's not much of a job. i had to do the same thing with my 06 IX MR. took me less than 10 minutes to get the cluster out. it's pretty straight forward. just unscrew the screws you find holding it in.
Cool deal. Are the bulbs special or can you get some LEDs to kick up the brightness. If so how many bulbs are back there to replace? Just don't want to get it apart and not have enough bulbs.

Thats funny. I have 90 LEDs in the cluster of one of my trucks, 20 on the other truck, and my cluster is LED on my evo also.
Twist and lock bases should still be good from your original bulbs. I am using type 74 wedge Leds.

I have the 360 degree ones. They work really well for Odometer and Gauge needles.
They also have the twist and lock bases if you need any.

I'm going to get a spare evo cluster just to take it apart. I need to learn more about how to take them apart and how they work. I'll be doing a full blown smd retrofit with LEDs right behind each number and every single things that gets illuminated. It will probably take me 90 or so LEDs like one of the retrofits I did in my one of my ford rangers.
