Question Gauge cluster problems????

I have had gauge cluster problems once i installed my triple gauge pod and gauges! Only half of my gauge cluster works at night. Just last night i was driving home and i floored it and the other half of my gauge went out but not even like two minutes later the same half of gauge cluster came back on. This is very wierd, has this happen to anyone who has installed Aftermarket gauges that run the positive to the gauge cluster fuse box, and also ground the black wire to the metal dashboard bar?

Holy crap. I have the same problem ever since I installed my Defi Boost Gauge!

And also only half of my A/C knobs work most on the time. Crazy stuff.

If you find anything please let me know!

Mine is the Defi D-Series Boost Gauge. Ill take some pics of the problem and post it for ya tonite.

I used, what i think is called, a wire tap. I just slid the wire from the gauge on one end and the wire to the illumination cluster to ther other and crimped it down.

The gauge cluster on the right half is now very dim and the left half of my A/C knobs are very dim too.

I got some O.K. pics of the A/C knobs not working and then working correctly. I tried to get some of the gauge cluster. You can tell that the three gauges to the right on the cluster are very dim.

The knobs will work sometimes and not work sometimes. But the 3 gauges just stay dim all the time now.

Your guys should have ran the power for the illumination on the gauge off the dimmer switch and ground it on the bolt under the cover on the side of the dash.
