our dealer is the same way i bought my junb.l cat back from them too.
My IX only goes up to 17 psi as well. I am pretty sure my guage is accurate as well because when the car is cold it will only go as high as 10 psi, which is what it should indicate.

No, in first and second gear i only see up to 15 psi with a taper to about 13-14. From my understanding there is nothing wrong with the gauge or the car.
