I drove my evo from LA to SF. The seats are fine, the suspension is a bit stiff for the people in the rear cabin. Fine for me, I heard lots of complaints from the back about the bounciness..

That's another matter... I don't know anything about the comfort level for the rear seat occupants during long trips. That's a question for a later trip, if ever. I rarely carry more than one other person on long trips. The one time we took the EVO in a trip from GA to NC, the only complaint from the rear seat passenger (and the other front seat passenger) was about the exhaust drone. I cannot emphasize enough how annoying the loud exhausts can be on trips of more than 1 hour.... I tried to rationalize the drone to myself even though it bugged me even during my morning commute. However, after I got an earfull of complaints from my wife and friend, I finally admitted it to myself and off went the cat back. I gladly gave up the 10~15 whp in trade for more comfort. What happens generally is that we tend to drive with the radio on and listen to music or radio talk with the volume on high. This masks the exhaust noise. However, if I travel with my wife and/or friends, we try to converse and it's practically impossible to do so comfortably since we don't have amplified voices. That's when the loud exhaust (or intakes too) really become obnoxious.

Both of my M3's had good A/C and one was a 1991 E30 M3. My STi has way better A/C than my Evo. This weekend it was 93 degrees out and the Evo would barely stay cool with the A/C set on 3 or 4 and with tinted windows. Then I drove the STi the same day and the automatic climate control had zero problems keeping up with the heat. Of course the STi had a few problems keeping up with the Evo but that's another story all together

Yes, I am saying in my Eclipse with the air on it saps a whole lot of power out of the car. I don't have any back to back performance times or whp #'s, but it is a common complaint amongst DSMers and so much so that ECU vendors have gone to the trouble to make arrangements to disable it under WOT. It puts stress on the compressor anyway when you are WOT.

I do not think the Evo suffers from the power loss as much, but I think it does some. So I still turn it off before I make any passes or take 2 or 3 gears to redline.
